Posted - 01/13/2010 : 15:50:16 I saw this thread for the first time this morning. What a shock. Sandy was one of the first people to welcome to here, and her reputation as a mother hen is well deserved.
She policed these forums well and alway with humor, love and care. The place is a bit less than it was when she was here.
Thank you for your service to the barbecue community.

Posted - 11/24/2009 : 13:24:32 As we give thanks during this week, I will stop and say a few prayers for those I lost this year and friends of friends. Sandy helped me when I lost my Terry in February, It's been 9 months and Sandy got me to talk and shed all of my feelings out on my sleeve.
As a Texan, that is sometimes hard for me to do.
I thank God for those individuals who have blessed my life. I sorley missy my wife Terry and Sandy too.
God gave me a challenge like no other and Sandy helped me get on the right track.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my BBQ friends and may you be blessed with love and courage.
Cheers

Posted - 10/18/2009 : 08:59:04 I've been away from bbq circles lately, and was shocked and very sad to hear that Sandy has passed. It had been a few months since my last e-mail or chat with her, and I regret not keeping in touch a little better.
I will miss you Mother Hen. I know you will continue to keep an eye on us, and your presence will be felt everyday.
God bless.

Posted - 09/22/2009 : 15:17:17 Back on September 1st Billy sent me a link to a photo that my wife took at the National Barbeque Festival of himself, Bobberqer, Doc Crawdad, Bob Lyons and myself. Sandy had posted this photo on Billy's fanclub site. Was this a coincedence. I think not. It showed how this lady knew how us good friends were gathered around our good friend Billybones sharing our love of barbeque. This came to mind as Tim Lively and myself were talking about Sandy last Saturday. Tim shared with me how much she had helped him get started on the forum. Thanks alot Sandy.
