WHILE ON OUR TRIP TO FT.BRAGG LAST WEEK WE TRAVELED THROUGH GEORIGA AND HALF WAY BETWEEN AUGUSTA AND ATLANTA WE CAME ACROOS A SIGN ALONG I20 FOR HEAVY'S BBQ SO WE MADE A STOP AND UPON PULLING IN I THOUGHT MAN THIS WILL BE SOME GOOD BBQ CAUSE IT REALLY HAD A LOOK ABOUT IT LOTS OF OLD BBQ TOYS ARROUND BUT UPON ORDERING AND GETTING OUR ORDER WE FOUND OUT DIFFERENT.I ORDERED A PORK PLATE,IT CAME WITH A PILE OF PORK,BRUNSWICK STEW AND SLAW AND IVE GOTTA SAY IT WAS SIMPLY AWLFUL,JUST AWLFUL NO FLAVOR ATALL WITH THE PORK AND THE STEW WAS MOE LIKE SOUP BUT NOW THE SWEETTEA WAS GREAT.SUZI ORDERED CHICKEN AND IT CAME SMOOTHERED IN SAUCE DRY AND REAL TOUGH.SO ALL IN ALL IT WASNT WORTH THE STOP AND COME TO FIND OUT THEIR CLAIM TO FAME IS THE MOVIE,"SWEET HOME ALABAMA" PARTS OF THAT MOVIE WAS FILMED THERE ANYWAY HERES A FEW SHOTS WE TOOK

i didn't see heavy's name listed in the movie credits as caterer so guess the movie crews went to hardies also ..

Bos, I know what you mean.I was over in Savannah a couple of weeks ago and found a place along the road that had a Lang with smoke coming out. I stopped in for lunch the Q was nothing like I thought it would be asked about the Lang. They said they only use it to get people to stop in. They cooked there BBQ in a OVEN.
