I was born and raised in Nashville TN, now live in Hendersonville which is about 20 miles east of Nashville.
I work for the TN Dept of Labor in the Unemployment Division as a Supervisor, been there for 11 years.
I have been cooking all my life with my mom and grandmother and started cooking bbq about 6-7 years ago in the backyard. Then about 3 years ago a couple of friends and me started Bullhogs BBQ team and cooking in comps, catering parties and vending when possible.
I am 38 years old and have 3 kids; 14 year old boy, 9 year old boy and 7 year old girl all of whom love to cook with dad when they can. Being recently divorced has cut down on our cooking together but still do every chance we get.
I love sports especially baseball, football and golf. Go Vols!!!

Raised and reside in the flat lands of NW Ohio, a "North Country Hick".
Have had the fortune or maybe misfortune to have seen much of this big blue marble traveling 30 some odd weeks a year in the bridge construction business for the last 19 years. I keep saying this will be one of my last years in a climbing harness but then somehow I get drug back in. I sure don't like heights quite as much as I used to.
Cooking most of my adult life in one capacity or another professionally for the last 8 years, taking the show on the road in the last five or six. Forty two years young for now.
You would think with all that I have seen and all the interesting food people I have met and all that I have tried on my own pits that a person could pretty well say they have this whole BBQ thing down, nope, learn something new every time. Or it might be that I am getting old enough that I have begun to forget what I had been taught once already.
Now, where was I? Oh yea. Raised and reside in the flat lands of NW Ohio..........

Montezuma Ohio-born and raised here, live in my parents house I bought 16 years ago. Learned a lot about cooking from an old hog farmer and my years in the military from survival training-liked it so much I spent 11½ years including three years as a DI. Had my own smoking/catering business for almost 12 years-sold my Lang to DaPig due to upcoming surgeries for knee replacement. Ain't out of it completely, made several offers on some business's that fell thru. Going to sit around this year and do nothing-nothing but travel like I have been wanted to for years. Plan on following the BBQ circut and enjoy life. Bad part is some of the people I only know on here will actually meet me and be impressed/dissapointed.........

I was born in Houston...lived in Albuquerque,NM for 12 years,.. Boulder,Co 1 year... Boca Raton,Fl 1 year...then back to Houston
Retired from IBM in 2004 after 33 years... customer service tech..Now do contract work for NCR on special projects..
Have always been a backyard cook..in 1996 traded for a homemade stick burner, and started cooking cookoffs..I got hooked!!!
60 years old with a wife and two grown KIDS, son and daughter..
Have had many hobbies, raced a old 66Vette, street and strip.. had a couple of boats, spent alot of weekends fishing, just being 30 minutes from the gulf..enjoyed deer and bird hunting, ...wife said I couldn't afford both hunting lease and cooking BBQ contest, so I went with BBQ!!
Greatest thrill was cooking the Jack in 2004, came in DAL.
But with all my past hobbies, BBQ is the best..and its not the cooking...but the people you meet and make friends with..
BBQers are the best group of folks Ive ever met..fun loving, street wise, good common sense, and a little Crazy!!

Born & raised in Kentucky, left at 18 and spent most of the next 10 years in New England (Boston & N.Y.C) followed by a year in France. Been back in Kentucky since 1977. Was in the restaurant biz for several years (fish place) but have sold maintenance chemicals for the last 25 yrs. Married to the lovely and talented wife for 23 years, we have two sons...22 & 21, both in college.
I am staring 60 in the eye and have been cooking for as long as I can remember...have been part of a local competition BBQ team for the last three seasons...stickburners all the way.
Looking to get back into the food business & undecided as to restaurant or concession trailer...but leaning towards the mobile option. Currently looking for a concession trailer/smoker & trying to decide exactly what I want. Learning by lurking at the moment
Currently have a stupid number of grills & smokers (8?)...largest of which was custom made from a 300 gal. tank with a cooking surface of about 3'X5'....need to replace the lot of them with a Stumps or BWS.

I currently live in Metropolitan Moore county, Tennessee. Previously lived in Florida for 37 years on the Gulf Coast and before that central Ohio.
I calibrate test equipment for a living.
I started doing serious BBQ when the wife and I moved to Tennessee back in July of 2006.
I'm a few years past fifty.
Since we moved, I've been smoking pork and chicken with pretty good results. I haven't developed my own rubs and sauces yet, but hope to one of these days. This spring/summer I hope to try and enter some local competitions, including the amateur division at Jack Daniels.
Right now I have been smoking on a Char-Griller Super Pro. I've been mulling over in my mind of making my own cooker out of a old propane tank or find me a large diameter pipe to fabricate one.

Where are you from. Born in Macon, GA but lived most of my life in Savannah, GA
What do you do. I build solid surface acrylic(Corian), quartz, and granite countertops
How long have you been cooking? I've been cooking bbq about 10 years.
How old are you? 43 this month
And anything else you wouldn't mind sharing It's easy to over complicate or over think this bbq thing. From all of the stuff we do to a piece of meat before it ever hits the smoker to all of the high tech gadgets and smokers that we use to cook with. Is it all too much? Just try to keep it simple and always enjoy cooking bbq.
