Thanks for the info fellas. I'm trying to make plans for the gas station and the bbq store.

And Furgus, we are competing. It's my 1st time, but the other two guys on my team have been there before. A little nervous, but really looking forward to the whole experience. Thsnks for the well wishes.

We had a great time in KC. Never made it to Oklahoma Joes or the BBQ store. Our itinerary was just too tight. However Fiorrellas Jack Stack BBQ catered the event. Brisket and Pork bbq was just ok but the Chicken was very good. These were the best restaurant ribs I've had. Anyhow, thanks for the advise. I hate I didn't get to use it.

We ended up 6th in the senior division. Miss 5th by 14 secs and 2nd by 74 secs. We were 29th overall out of 153 teams.

Joe's is good, Jack Stack too. Of course Arthur Bryant's. My favorite place is Stilwell Station. Yes, it is a gas station. Feller there starts his Q at about 4:00 in the morning before he opens, line's out the door by 11:00! 199th & Metcalf.

We were at my brother-in-laws' in Kansas this week. Went to the Oklahoma Joes in Olathe Saturday night. Ribs, beans, and Texas toast were outstanding line out the door and all the way up the side of the building, but it moved fast. The bbq store was heaven

We got home Wed. night. Will check out LC's next time though. Loaded up on sauces and rubs at the bbq store. Our bag was 2 lbs. from being overweight My brother-in-law, his wife, and 2 of their 3 kids are not into bbq. They all raved about Okey Joe's and are already planning on going back
