Sometimes I wish my 18.5" WSM was bigger. Smokers are not in the budget and I can't afford a new 22.5" WSM, so I told my craigslist app to search for a reasonably priced used one. I was not optimistic, so I also had it search for Cajun Bandit and Smoke EZ, two similar products that supposedly turn your 22.5" kettle into a 22.5" WSM clone.

It took a while, but I found a 2 year-old, never been used, still in the box Smoke EZ for $75. I burned it in on my Performer and did the biscuit test. It has a hot spot and needs some minor mods, but I think it will do the trick.

When I Googled Smoke EZ, I got plenty of info on quitting smoking, but not much about the barbecue product. There was general info on things like burn time, how does it hold temps, comparing it to the WSM, do you like it, etc., but nothing specific about actually using it. I decided to review it myself and posted the review on another site. I will post it here if anybody is interested. Also, if anybody is thinking about one of these, I will be glad to answer questions.

I may use it this weekend and will definitely be cooking on it Memorial Day. I will try to post pics in "Who's cookin Q?"

I had the same problem w/ googling it as well as I was looking for another small 1 meat smoker for competitions & thought of a way for my weber to do it. I think there's some vids on youtube but again the same problem of getting thru all the smoking ones to find the bbq ones. I'm sure there's some reviews/experiences of some kind on Virtual Weber on it

I frequently use one of my Weber One Touch's for small single meat smokes. I had bought a Smokenator several years ago before I got my 18 1/2" WSM but only used it a couple times before deciding that I could do pretty much the same thing without the hassle by building smaller fires and adjusting as necessary. I frequently do my ribs and chicken pieces this way rather than fire up a WSM.
